Meryl’s fascination for the dynamics of human behavior comes natural as a Psychology major which is strengthened by her Master’s in Guidance and Counseling. She completed both courses from the Philippines at De La Salle University. Back in the East Coast, Meryl joined the accelerated program to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey under Rutger’s University. Her experience as a registered nurse, from Pediatric to Geriatric, developed her compassion and dedication as a health care professional.
Joining different organizations and institutions gave her the unique opportunity to combine her competence as a nurse and passion as a psychologist, believing that the best way to deal with challenges in human behavior is by starting with an unconditional love.
Currently, Meryl partners with her husband running their own school, Careway Health Institute. This is her ultimate dream of training allied healthcare professionals in the hope that there will be more individuals working in healthcare field with compassion in providing excellent care to their patients, residents, or clients.
Her endeavors are inspired by her husband and their two kids, her parents, and three dogs.
